Originally from the East Coast, Jimmy has recorded and/or performed with Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Stevie Nicks, Clarence Clemons, Little Steven, Billy Squire, Aerosmith (1979-1984, co-wrote "Rock In A Hard Place" and "Night In The Ruts") and many more. For the last 2 years he's been the lead guitarist for Rod Stewart, who's 1996 World Tour was number one in Sold Out performances and ticket sales.

Jimmy's style is an all-encompassing one...flowing seamlessly from R&B Rhythms, to Hendrix-flavored Blues, to modern Rock stylings, all with the Patented Crespo originality that makes you wanna keep your day job! He's an avid Strat-man, favoring an early '60's stock version run into a variety of Fulltone Effects including the Fulldrive2, Deja'Vibe ((Stereo)), Soul-Bender, '69 Pedal, and a gutted vintage Fuzzface with our '70 pedal inside. This signal-chain ends up being fed through a variety of vintage 100 watt Marshalls.

Jimmy, having completed the Rod Stewart gig, is now back in Los Angeles writing and doing sessionwork mixed with the occasional live gig. If you would like to contact him regarding his availability for Touring and/or Session-work feel free to email Jimmy Crespo at wherespapa@aol.com
